I’m serious about losing weight, I need help with how to start?

I’m 26… 5′8 and went to the Dr yesterday had a physical and found out I am 85kg (187lbs) i’m feeling miserable about this!!!
I recently put on weight due to stress and I find myself just eating more and more everyday… I got up this morning and thought ok i’m serious about this I am starting today… I took my kids to daycare and came home and then couldn’t resist eating… it’s only midday and i’ve eaten chicken schnitzel, 2 chocolate cookies, handful of crackers, ham and cheese toasted pita bread, 3 glasses of diet coke and I feel like i’m starving!!! I’m in the middle of moving and I should be packing but I’ve flopped in front of the TV not wanting to do anything. All I can think of is food and how hungry I am… I need to know how I can stop this and start on my way to lose weight… i’m serious about this but I just don’t know where to start?? I would appreciate any tips on how to start and what should I do about feeling so hungry??
